Combining two things you love or enjoy into one experience is always a recipe for success in my book. Cars have always held a special place in my heart. Ever since I was a kid going to car shows with my dad or hearing him talk about the family car businesses back in Kentucky where he worked as a teenager I have loved cars. My first love was a red 1957 Chevy Bel Air, sure its a bit cliche but when you're young it's the cars you see over and over that sick with you.
Living in California there is a huge car culture and always will be one no matter how many laws they pass trying to break up our relationship with gasoline. While Southern California has more of the hot rod culture we in Northern California enjoy the automobile just as much. This is why finding a vintage car, a hot rod or even an exotic at a wedding isn't too far fetched. These weddings make my heart smile. Not only do I get to work with a couple who enjoys cars but I have the chance to use a great piece of metal as a prop. The lines swooping down the body much like the dress on the bride. The chrome shining as bright as the wedding bands now gracing the fingers of the couple. Whitewall tires mimicking the grooms black and white tuxedo or tailored suit. Cars and Weddings at least in my head go together like BBQ in Texas. I will ALWAYS give a resounding YES if I am asked about adding a car or multiple cars to a wedding photograph.
